Emblem

Donald Earl Woosley passed away peacefully at his home in Fair Oaks, Ca after a brief illness.

He will be greatly missed as the devoted husband to Carol Rae for 64 years, loving father to Brian Earl Woosley (1960-1963), Karen (Steve) Morlock, Kristen (Rod) Borges, Roger (Weiru) Woosley, adoring grandfather to Natalie Morlock, Matthew Borges and Taylor (Jacob) Rivett and great-grandfather to Haddie Anne Rivett.

Don was a proud Elmhurst College graduate (1962 BA) and U.S. Army Veteran (1953-1955). He worked as a Safety Professional in Chicago and Northern California, retiring as an Industrial Safety Engineer, Cal OSHA in 2000.

Don had a deep love for the Chicago Cubs, celebrating their World Series victory in 2016 with immense joy. A lifelong Chicago Bears fan, his conversion to a San Francisco 49ers faithful was ignited during the early years of their training camp at Sierra College in Rocklin.

In addition to being a cherished father and grandfather, he will be remembered for his kindness and humor and “gift of gab” as well as his love of classic cars and military aircraft, spending many years as a docent at the Aerospace Museum of California at McClellan Park.

A private memorial service and celebration of his life will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the Aerospace Museum of California.
