Donald Anthony Lucchesi

June 26, 1934 — January 18, 2014

Donald Lucchesi passed away peacefully on January 18, 2014 at the age of 79. Donald was born and raised in San Jose to Dominic Lucchesi and Sarah DeBona. Donald obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Jose State. After serving in the Army for two years, he was employed by Lockheed, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, and ultimately retired after 34 years as an Industrial Engineer with IBM.

His hobbies included aviation, fishing, hunting, astronomy and following collegiate and professional sports. Donald was always energetic and enthusiastic about everything he did, stayed active throughout his entire life and had a great sense of humor. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. He is survived by Patricia Lucchesi, his wife of 50 years, his children Michael Lucchesi and Suzanne Lucchesi, daughter-in-law Kimberly Lucchesi and two grandchildren, Sarah Lucchesi and Bennet Lucchesi. He is also survived by two loving nieces Denise Enman and Leslie Stabile and various other nieces and nephews.

He was preceeded in death by his loving sister Sandra Stabile Ventura in July of 2000.

A celebration of Donald's life will be held Sunday, January 26th at 1:00pm at the Heritage Oaks Memorial Chapel in Rocklin, CA, followed by a gathering at Lincoln Regional Airport, 1480 Flight Line Dr, Lincoln, CA 95648.

In lieu of sending flowers, the family requests donations be made in Donald's name to the American Cancer Society. Thank you.
