Diane died at the age of 69, of Friday 21, 2014 in Lincoln, California where she and her husband, Charles, resided.
Diane was born on August 17, 1944, to parents, Ardath Everett Hauge and Dorothy Lillian (Scholes) Hauge, in Elgin, North Dakota. She grew up on the family farm South of Carson, North Dakota, the eldest of four children. Diane loved riding horses and playing pranks on her brother, with her sisters' help.
Diane graduated from Carson High School in 1961, and later received a nursing degree from Ancker Hospital in St. Paul, MN. She married David Musgjerd on December 8, 1963, they had two children-a daughter, Kristin and son, Scott.
Diane eventually became the owner and operator of Diane Kit Nitch in La Crosse, WI. As life would have it, Diane later moved to California where she met and eventually married Charles Hooper on October 12th, 1991. Over the years they worked together in several business.
Diane loved playing tennis, hiking, canoeing, working in her flower garden, traveling, playing cards and spending time with friends. She was loved by everyone who knew her and was like a second mom to her children's friends.
Diane was preceded in death by her father, Ardath Hauge, and nephew Jordan Hauge. She is survived by her husband and 3 children, a daughter Kristin Musgjerd, Centennial, CO, a son Scott Musgjerd, Onalaska, WI, and a stepdaughter Lauren Holmes, Escalon, CA. Diane is also survived by her mother Dorothy Hauge, Carson, ND, two sisters Cyndi (Charles) Tingey and Audrey (Brad) Hill, Fresno, CA, and a brother Tom (Becky) Hauge, Carson, ND.
The funeral was be held at Bethesda Lutheran Evangelical Church on March 2, 2014 at 10:30 AM in Leith, ND and a memorial will be held Lincoln, CA May 3rd 2014.
