Debrina Joyce Peek Earls

Debrina Joyce Peek Earls, a kind-hearted soul born on September 10, 1956, in Roseville, California, left this world on April 10, 2025, at her home in Sacramento. She was 68 years old.

Deb dedicated many years of her life to her career as an accountant for the state of California, a profession that showcased her commitment and diligence. She had a remarkable love for animals, particularly Cocker Spaniels, and devoted time to raising and breeding several throughout her life. Her affection for animals mirrored the warmth she extended to her family and friends as she greeted the world with her friendly demeanor and a big heart.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Deb was also a passionate poet. She proudly became a published poet, recognized in "Who's Who in American Poetry." This accomplishment brought her immense joy and pride, as did her deep connections with family, including her efforts in supporting the Sacramento SPCA.

Deb and her late husband, Michael Earls, shared a profound love of the ocean and enjoyed the adventures of scuba diving together. Their bond was evident in their shared passions and countless memories spent by the seaside. She was known for her exquisite taste in jewelry, adorning herself with a different ring for each finger and a necklace for every occasion, which reflected her vibrant personality.

Deb is survived by her brothers, Donald Peek and his wife Maggie, and Steven Peek and his wife Debbie; her sister, Helen Jones; as well as her nephews, Chris Peek, Richard Peek, Hunter Thompson, and Zach Peek; niece Megan Rizzo; and many other nieces and nephews who cherished her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Earls; her father, Forrest Peek; her mother, Marian Peek Medeiros; and her brother, David Peek.

A service honoring Deb's life will be held at the First Street Community Church on Friday, May 23, at 11:00 am, with burial to follow at the Lincoln Cemetery. All are invited to join the family in celebrating the life and legacy of a remarkable woman who touched the hearts of those around her.
