Deborah “Debi” Louise Worster was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on March 21, 2022, at the age of 68, after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity.
She was born to Terryll Worster and Roxie Barnes (stepfather Rodney Keema) on March 24, 1953, in Grass Valley, California. After graduating from Elk Grove High School, she went on to work as a Bus Attendant with the Elk Grove Unified School District Transportation Dept for 30 years. She truly loved helping and guiding children. She worked for many years running youth camps with Learning for Life during summer breaks and she was fluent in sign language to communicate with hearing impaired children as well.
Debi was a fiercely dedicated mom to her children and grandmother to Mason and Alyssa. They were her world, and she would do anything for them. Family always came first and was above all else to Debi; a value she instilled in all those around her. She was the rock of our family and always gave the best advice.
She was passionate about her crafts! She loved to create cards, blankets, wreathes, or make candy. When she wasn’t doing crafts or redesigning her home with wallpaper projects, she could be found working in her yard or enjoying the sun on her patio with her cat Chia. Debi also loved to travel and take road trips when she could! Some of her favorite places included Bodega Bay, Sausalito, San Diego, Oregon, and Colorado. The ocean always gave her peace!
Debi was preceded in death by her mother Roxie Barnes, stepfather Rodney Keema, father Terryll Worster. As well as her children Brandi Odom and Paul W. Wheat.
She is survived by her daughter Kerri Darling, son-in-law Timothy Darling, and grandchildren Mason and Alyssa Darling. Also, her stepmother Joanna Worster, sister Nancy Worster-Tanner, plus Lucy, Sarah, and Madison.
You will always be in our hearts, and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
