Darrell Dwain Mann, born on January 19, 1938, in Los Angeles, California, peacefully passed away at his home in, Sacramento, California on June 26, 2024. He was a loving husband to Christine and a devoted father to his sons and their wives, Darrin & Becky and Rodney & Pam. In addition, he also was a loving grandfather to Nichole, Brittney, Kayla, Zach, Greysen and Jace. With a number of great-grand children as well.

Darrell led a fulfilling life that touched the hearts of many.  He served his country with honor in the US Navy as N1. After his military service, in the late 1950s, Darrell obtained his barbering license, showcasing his commitment to learning and mastering new skills. Being a man of many talents, Darrell decided to pursue a career at Kaiser where he worked diligently until his well-deserved retirement, all the while, still practicing his love of barbering at his in home shop.

His passion for storytelling and engaging conversations transcended his very soft-spoken nature. Darrell had a knack for sharing captivating tales from his life experiences with everyone he met. His kind-hearted personality made him approachable and beloved by all who knew him.

Outside of work, he found joy in simple pleasures like spending quality time at home, embarking on road trips in his RV or on his motorcycle, and doting on his cherished fur babies. Although not a cook himself, Darrell found enjoyment in watching cooking shows and appreciating the artistry behind culinary creations. 

A man of integrity and strong values, Darrell's legacy will live on through the memories shared by those who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.

A service to celebrate Darrell's life will be held on July 15, 2024, at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California. The gathering will commence at 10:30 AM followed by a special ceremony at 11:00 AM. Immediately following the service will be the funeral reception at Bud's Bar and Grill, Dixon. 

While we mourn the loss of an incredible soul, we also cherish the moments we shared with Darrell and find solace in knowing that his spirit will forever remain in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
