Daniel Sheldon Kral

Daniel Sheldon Kral, lovingly known as Dan, bid farewell to this world on June 12, 2024, in Rocklin, California.

Dan was born on August 30, 1950, to Margery and Bohumil Kral in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California. His educational journey led him to San Mateo High School, laying the foundation for a lifetime of learning and growth. He worked for many years at Bedrosian's Tile Store in Auburn, California.

Throughout his life, Dan found solace and fulfillment in various hobbies and interests. From engaging in friendly chess matches to showcasing his knowledge on Jeopardy and Trivial Pursuit, his sharp intellect always shone through. A true adventurer at heart, Dan discovered a passion for motorcycles at the age of 50. He treasured every moment spent cruising on his beloved motorcycle and cherished the exhilarating rides shared with his wife, Maureen in Northern California.

Among the many cherished memories, the couple's enchanting honeymoon in Italy remains etched in their hearts as a testament to their love and companionship. Another very special moment was the day Maureen brought Bella home to Dan – a little Yorkie who captured his heart instantly. The motorcycle ride from Rocklin to Santa Cruz for lunch and back stands out as a vivid reminder of Dan's zest for life and exploration.

Dan will be remembered not only for his professional dedication but also for his remarkable personality traits. His kindness knew no bounds, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Patience was his virtue, guiding him through life's ups and downs with grace and resilience. His intelligence illuminated every room he entered, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.

Dan is predeceased by his parents, Margery and Bohumil Kral, and his brother Phillip.  He is survived by loving wife of 25 years, Maureen; his siblings Steve, Vivian (Tom), and Juliet (Tom); nieces and nephews Katie (J.J.), Stephanie (Jeffrey) and great niece Charlotte, Connor (Michelle) and Christine; step children Melisa (Kevin), Michelle, Yvette (Allan) and J.T. (Stacey); grandchildren Patrick (Sierra), Jordan, Nick, Kenzie, Gavin, Ethan, Landon, and William; and great grandchildren Mila and Wesley.

On August 30, 2024, a Mass will be held to honor and celebrate Dan's extraordinary life at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Rocklin, California. Family members and friends will gather to pay their final respects to a man who left an indelible mark on their hearts. A luncheon will follow the Mass in the church hall.

Though Dan may have departed from this world, his spirit lives on through the memories he created and the love he shared with those closest to him. As we reflect on his life well-lived, let us find comfort in knowing that he now rests peacefully in the arms of eternity.

Rest in peace, dear Dan – your legacy will forever inspire us all.
