It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clifford Harold Quinton, affectionately known as Cliff, who left this world on October 7, 2024, in Roseville, California. Born on July 26, 1935, in Wilburton, Oklahoma, Cliff lived a life filled with love and laughter. For over 30 years, he proudly worked in construction as a member of the local Carpenters Union, where his skilled hands helped build commercial structures.
Cliff was not just known for his hard work; he was a man of many extraordinary qualities. His kindness and loyalty touched the lives of all who knew him. Cliff had a silly side that made him endearing, often showing a stubbornness likened to that of a mule, which endeared him even more to his family and friends. Earning him the nickname "Mike" after his grandfather's mule. His personality shined brightest when he was surrounded by loved ones, sharing stories and laughter over breakfast—his favorite meal was biscuits and gravy it always had a spot at the table.
A true connoisseur of sweets, Cliff had a appetite for treats, indulging daily in Twinkies, Ding Dongs, and pies. He would often satisfy his sweet tooth with a 3 Musketeers or vanilla buttercreams from See's Candy, all while enjoying the quintessential breakfast ritual at his local McDonald's, where he treated himself to a sausage biscuit with a mustard packet and a hashbrown.
Cliff's interests extended beyond his love for sweets. He found joy in wagering on horse races and engaging in games of poker, relishing the thrill of competition. A passionate sports fan, Cliff rooted avidly for women’s softball and basketball. A devoted Oklahoma Sooner fan, always feeling proud of his team.
He leaves behind a loving family who will carry on his legacy. He is survived by his sons, Michael, Angel, Victor, Matthew, Daniel, and daughters, Ponya and Jessica. His grandchildren, Courtney, Taylor, Glenda, Tyler, Ariel, Katrina, Katelynn, Stephanie, Ariel, Anastasia, Frankie, Tru, Avery, Bryson, Quinton, Phoenix, Bob and Ponya, find solace in the cherished memories they have of their beloved grandfather, who undoubtedly left his mark on their hearts.
Cliff is also remembered by his daughters-in-law, Cari, Sueann, Ashley, and Kim, as well as an extensive network of nieces and nephews, including Wilma, Pat, Bill, Denise, Theresa, Linda, Bonnie, Patty, Brenda, Jimmy, Judy, Debbie, Bobby, Verna, Art, Billie, and Dwight.
He now joins his beloved parents, Avery and Bonnie, as well as his siblings, Lillian, Louise, Theron, Therman, Vernon, and Norma, who await him in eternal peace.
As we remember Cliff, let us celebrate a life well-lived—filled with kindness, love, humor, and an unwavering commitment to family and friends. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched, as a legacy of joy and connection that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
