Claudia and I worked together in our business, and we spent most of our time together away from work as well.
She enjoyed vegetable gardening and potting exotic plants that grew onto tall moss poles. Horticulture was in her blood. Her grandfather was a Head Groundskeeper at Golden Gate Park.
When I first met Claudia, she was flipping houses, so we shared that passion and ability of design. Together we created a home that she loved so much, she often preferred spending time there rather than going out. She’d say, “We might not ever leave home, if we didn’t have to pay for it.”
Claudia and I enjoyed sitting on our front porch in the evenings watching the sunset. She’d place her legs up in my lap and smile at me, knowing that’s all it took to get her favorite foot massage.
She often reminisced about the wonderful times in her childhood that she’d spent with her Grandparents. They were such kind and wonderful people. One of my favorite stories she told me was that when her grandfather would offer her ice cream, he always handed her two ice cream cones. He insisted that she have one for each hand.
We have been fortunate to share the immense love of our children, and we’ve been ever so blessed to share an unconditional love, one that will last, beyond the end of time.
