Carl Marx Rea

Carl was born in Oakland, Arkansas on October 18th, 1930. He passed away November 2nd,2015.
Carl was preceded in death by his father Carl Marx Rea and mother Vernie L. Rea both of Phoenix, Arizona, his brother Joe V. Rea of Placerville, CA and sister Reatha Grace Mongelli of Portland. Oregon. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Ella and three children, sons Carl M Rea, III of Marysville and Cecil Curtis Rea of Redding, CA; daughter Charlotte Ann Malter of Houston, Texas; 5 grandchildren Alan Keith Rea of Roseville; Aaron Michael Rea of Auburn; Sarena Elizabeth Malter Christensen, Bradley P. Malter & Timothy K Malter all of Houston Texas; four great grandchildren, Lillian Jean & Wyatt A Rea, Aubrey Grace Christensen and Henry K Malter.
Carl enlisted in the U.S. Navy on December 16, 1949; He served as Radioman aboard the U.S.S Hecter, U.S.S Tucson, and U.S.S. Chowanoc ATF100. Carl served during the Korean Conflict until December 13, 1951. Carl came to Sacramento, California in 1952, where he married Ella Rae Hall on December 25, 1952. The family moved to Elverta in 1958. Carl worked as a Warehouseman for the Thomson Diggs Company, Wholesale Hardware for 39 years, retiring when the company was sold.
Carl became a Mason, member of Washington Lodge # 20 in 1971, where he served as Master in 1978.
Services will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Heritage Oaks Memorial Chapel. 6920 Destiny Drive. Rocklin, CA
Burial service will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday November, 10, 2015 at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, CA 95620
