Carl David Kepler, a gentle soul, was born on September 1, 1931, in Galena, Missouri. He spent most of his life in Sacramento, California, where he passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024, in Roseville, California.
A proud veteran, Carl served his country in the US Navy and continued his dedicated service as a civil servant with Aerojet at Mather Air Force Base and then with McClellan Air Force Base. Carl specialized in non-destructive testing; he played a crucial role in ensuring the reliability of military equipment worldwide. His travels took him to various US installations abroad, broadening his horizons and enriching his life experiences.
After his forty plus years in Civil Service with Aerojet and the US Air Force at McClellan Air Force Base, Carl had a second career, as Production Manager with Moxie International. Carl joined Moxie through his relationship with one of the founders of Moxie, Bill Emmons, his close friend and former boss at McClellan Air Base. Carl was a faithful servant at Moxie International for over twenty-five years.
Beyond his professional life, Carl was a man of diverse interests. Carl often enjoyed engaging in lively debates about politics and he also enjoyed history. His frugal nature led him to collect coins and other artifacts, a hobby that brought him much joy and satisfaction. With a quick wit and a penchant for humor, Carl could always bring a smile to those around him. His subtle sarcasm was his specialty.
Carl's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his loved ones. He will be remembered for his kindness, gentle spirit, and his enduring legacy which lives on through the countless lives he touched.
Carl is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Myrtle Kepler, and his two brothers Ernest and Kenneth Kepler. He is survived by his sisters-in-law Lucille Kepler and Carma Kepler. As well as his nephews and nieces, Charles Kepler, Judy Kepler, Timothy Kepler and Tamara Payseno.
