Antoinette "Toni" Marie Nederveld

April 11, 1949 — May 2, 2018

On Wednesday, May 2, 2018, Antoinette "Toni" Marie Musso Nederveld, Wife, Mother, Grandma, Sister, Aunt, Teacher, and Friend, went home to be with Jesus, her precious Lord and Savior. Toni will be forever cherished and remembered by the love of her life and husband of 47 years, Lester Nederveld, her four children Jenell, Leslie, Toni, and Paul, her beloved "in-love" children, John, Andy, Jesse, and Kelsey, her eleven Grandchildren: Ben, Andrew, Luke, Heidi, Kate, Allie, Jude, Huxton, Ryder, Laney, and Lucy, her siblings Mario, Emmie, and Jamey, as well as endless more family and friends. Toni's greatest joy was her family and her legacy will live on through each of them.

Antoinette Marie Nederveld was born April 11, 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Frank and Ellen Musso. She was the second born of four siblings. Her parents Frank and Ellen were second generation children whose parents immigrated from Siculiana, Sicily and Budapest, Hungary, respectively. Toni spent her childhood growing up on a 40 acre chicken farm attending Seven Hills Elementary and Hillside Junior High School. While she was an active child loving the outdoors, her special love for her dolls and playing "house" was remarkable. From the time Toni was five years old she was a devoted and avid ballerina. She loved to dance. Toni and her family moved to California in 1965 and she graduated from Downey High School in 1966. After one year her family moved to Seal Beach at which time she attended Long Beach State University, where she graduated with a degree in education.

In August, 1967, Toni was playing a volleyball game in Lake Arrowhead, California. On the opposing team was a young Marine by the name of Lester Nederveld, who was on weekend leave. They started talking at Lake Arrowhead, and he asked her if he could see her again when he could get liberty from the base. They dated for four years and Toni and Les were married on July 11, 1971. They shared a long and beautiful marriage together.

In 1977 daughter Jenell was born, in 1980 daughter Leslie, in 1983 daughter Toni, and in 1987 son Paul. The family was always together as the children grew up, and they all have wonderful memories of great times and close family love.Toni and Les are always aware of how blessed they have been by God with the great gift of their children and now spouses and beautiful grandchildren.

Toni's greatest passion in life was her family. She put her heart and soul into raising her four children and caring for her husband. From being fully involved in their schools and

sports to being there and often planning every event in their lives, she was a shining example of pure love and dedication. She cultivated a home full of love, laughter and hospitality. Through her involvement in her children's activities, she was able to touch the lives of so many others over the years and will be lovingly remembered.

As she added grandchildren to her life, her love and devotion to family only increased. She had the unique ability to connect with each of her eleven grandchildren in a very special way. Grandma was the biggest fan coming to every event possible, the most thoughtful gift giver, the most creative developer of traditions and her devoted heart will be enormously missed by each grandchild.

Toni was also a dedicated and treasured teacher with an unwavering enthusiasm for educating children and sharing her love for life with her students and their families. She left an immeasurable impact on each child she worked with, as well as her fellow teachers and administrators.

Toni Marie Nederveld lived a life of love and has left a legacy behind that will be carried through generations. Her selflessness and thoughtful dedication to everyone she knew leaves behind a beautiful footprint on this world.
