Andrew Hubert Vigilance

Andrew Vigilance, Beloved Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Brother

Andrew Hubert Vigilance was born on April 28, 1941 in Guyana. Before moving to the Roseville, California area, he lived for a majority of his life in New Jersey with his family.

Andrew came to the United States in the 70s, where he met and eventually married his late wife Shirley. He enjoyed a long career working for Continental Airlines based out of Newark Airport in Newark, New Jersey. An avid traveler, he was able to visit many countries in the Caribbean, North America and Europe in addition to many US states with his wife. Andrew also loved music, favoring reggae, soul, motown and gospel music the most. He was very musically gifted and easily mastered the saxophone, harmonica, guitar, trumpet, violin and keyboard. Some of his grandchildren's favorite memories are of him filling their home with saxophone tunes, especially on holidays.

Andrew went to be with the Lord on November 27, 2021 but will be forever remembered for his generosity, humor and unwavering faith. He is survived by his children (Terrence, Brenda, Bernice, Michael, Lorna, Joycelyn, Alison, Monique, Don and Marlon), sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends near and far who will cherish the memories shares and the lessons learned from him until we can all be together again.
