Alexander Jack Taylor was born May 26, 2004, to Jeri Hawkins and Michael Taylor. He grew up in the Sacramento area. At the age of 14, he was welcomed into the home of Jaqulyn Barrera and Johnny Rutherford, and there he was provided with the companionship of his bonus siblings, Marianna, Gabriel, Isaiah and Melody, as well as the love and guidance of his foster parents.
His family was very important to him and, as often as he could, he would spend time with his siblings, Nathaniel, Davion, Romeo, Elijah, Keile, Chloe and Noah. He also loved spending time with his friends. He considered his sister, Marianna, to be his very best friend. He was very close to his friend, Elijah, and Alex often referred to him as his brother. He looked up to his older brother, Romeo, and said many times that he couldn’t wait to turn 18 so he could be a truck driver like him. To Alex, family wasn’t just an important thing … it was EVERYTHING.
A highlight for Alex was a trip to Southern California in 2020 with his family to explore the popular sights such as Hollywood, Universal Studios, the Santa Monica Pier, to name a few.
Alex loved the city and enjoyed riding the light rail. His favorite destinations were to meet up with some of his family members.
He also loved nature and spent time at rivers and lakes in the area whenever he could.
Alex was loved and appreciated by those who knew him. He will be missed and his memory will be with us always.
