Alex Dale Molder, known lovingly by all as Dale, was born on June 15, 1931, in Green Forest, Arkansas. Dale lived 94 remarkable years centered on family, friendship, and an unwavering belief in doing what was right. He dedicated his life to showing up for others -- quietly, consistently, and wholeheartedly. Through his example, he taught those around him that hard work, integrity, and kindness are among life’s greatest rewards.
Dale proudly served his country as a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean War, on active duty from February 1952 to 1954, and later in the Army Reserves through 1960. His service shaped his lifelong gratitude, humility, and sense of responsibility to others, values he carried into every chapter of his life.
In 1954, Dale married the love of his life, Donna Jean, to whom he remained faithfully and lovingly devoted for 71 beautiful years. Together, they built a life rooted in partnership, adventure, and steadfast commitment. Dale cherished his role as a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Dale will be remembered for his wonderful balance of steadiness and softness. Though he was grounded and comfort-seeking by nature, he also carried a brave and curious spirit. As a young man from the rural South, he and Donna set out on a lifetime of adventures that many of his generation might not have dared to pursue. His love of travel opened the world not only for himself, but for his family, inspiring them to embrace exploration and new experiences with the same enthusiasm.
Dale was a deeply principled person who embodied the expression “love thy neighbor.” He often credited his father and mother for shaping this belief, recalling how they never hesitated to drop anything to help someone in need.
Dale truly broke the mold. He created a life rich with purpose, adventure, and love, and he did so with humility, grace, and an open heart. His presence was a gift, and his impact will live on in the lives of those who were lucky enough to be loved by him.
Dale is survived by his loving wife, Donna, son, daughter, and their families.
