Albert Eugene Stringer was born on September 26, 1950, in Reedley, California, and passed away on December 11, 2025, in Rocklin, California, after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson’s Disease. He was surrounded by his beloved family—his wife Helga and their children Michelle, Heidi, and Kevin.
Albert grew up in California, completing high school before attending CSU Fresno. He later enlisted in the U.S. Army. His service took him to Berlin, Germany, during the time of the Berlin Wall, where he met the love of his life, Helga, and where their first daughter, Michelle, was born. The family later was stationed in Nevada, where Heidi was born. Following, they moved to California, where Kevin was born. In the late 70’s, they moved back to Berlin, a place that remained close to Albert’s heart and where he maintained deep ties with many loved family members. In 2005, Albert, Helga, Michelle and her family returned to California to join Kevin and his family. Heidi and her family followed shortly thereafter from Texas.
Albert built a career in supply logistics and was known for his integrity, kindness, and dedication. Following his retirement, he worked part-time at the golf course, a job he truly enjoyed. Above all, he was a devoted family man whose quiet faith, gentle presence, and open heart touched everyone he met.
He found great joy in cooking, music, and golf. Holiday gatherings, especially Christmas and Thanksgiving, were filled with warmth, music, and togetherness as Albert played his guitar and sang with family. A day of golfing with his grandchildren was always a highlight of his week.
Albert is survived by his wife Helga; his children Michelle and husband Ray, Heidi and husband Eric, Kevin and wife Sandy; his grandchildren Lea, Steven, Shawn, Alexa, Caden, Emily, Bailey, McKenzie, Keira, and Aila; his great-granddaughters Maisie Rose and Paisley; his sisters Geneva, Bobbie, and Donna; many cherished family members in Germany throughout the United States.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Coreen and Garland, and his brother Charles.
Albert’s life was a testament to love, faith, and service. His gentle spirit and steady presence will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
