Alan Robert Guthrie

We are deeply saddened to share that Jesus called our beloved Alan Guthrie home on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 to start a radio station in Heaven.

Born on June 30,1962, Alan had an early interest in radios. While in his teen years, Alan began his career in broadcasting as a volunteer at KVIP Radio in Redding, California. Fast forward to adulthood, he reached the peak of his career working and ministering as an Engineering Adviser installing satellites globally for K-LOVE Radio. Though dedicated to his work, his most defining and important job was being an awesome husband and a proud father. He deeply loved his family and made that known to them by his kindness and his actions.

He is survived by his wife Shelley Guthrie, his daughters Sammie and Abbie Guthrie, his parents Bill and Mae Guthrie, his sisters Karen Richardson and Janis Blair; also mourning his loss are Caryll Gurko and Lynn Gurko, his mother in law and sister in law as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles. Alan will be missed by countless friends and coworkers around the world.
